Going down the East Face is by far the most popular peak run, as it offers a wide range of options when choosing a line to ride. Whatever line you end up choosing, you will eventually end up at a cat-track, which leads back to the Hanazono area. The best one involves riding the fall-line from the peak and above the tree lines before bearing to the skier's left and going down one of two ridges leading to the 'ideal landing area'. This line will allow you to make the most of the wide open area above the tree-line. When visibility is good, riding here feels magical. This line also runs through areas where the trees are not too tight so you can go fast. When visibility is poor up top, it usually improves once you reach the tree-line. Finally, this line involves the shortest hike back to the Hanazono area once you hit the cat-track, about 15min.

Most other options involve going towards Higashione (East Ridge) just above the tree-line, finding a suitable drop-in point and looking for glades or open powder fields to ride through before entering the trees again and arriving somewhere on the cat-track. One alternative to hiking back to the Hanazono area is going down Jackson and traversing back to the bottom of Hanazono. Skiers do have an advantage over snowboarders here, but if it's a deep day and there is no track when you reach the bottom, even skiers might find it challenging.
